The kind of place that makes you feel like you’re on vacation even if you live here, Cap’s on the Water has an oak-shaded deck, island-infused cuisine, plenty of oysters and cold beer, and Intracoastal views guaranteed to deliver sunsets you will never forget.
This is how the real Florida used to look. A relaxed ride along A1A brings you to Cap's on the Water, located between Ponte Vedra and Saint Augustine.
Cap's is a waterfront restaurant with a Sunset Oyster Bar and offers new coastal cuisine. Enjoy a Stilton Salad, Calamari Vilano, Crab Cakes, Chimmichuri Tuna, Vanilla Grouper, Filet Mignon, Fried Shrimp or other fresh local seafood.
We have a full liquor license and a wine list, awarded with Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence in 2006, 2007 and 2008.

Our wine list is comprised of over 400 selections from renowned as well as boutique wineries from around the world. We received Wine Spectator magazine’s prestigious “Award of Excellence” for the first time in
2006, 2007 and again in 2008.
It is proudly displayed on the first page of this wine list. The magazine recognized the variety of choice and
pricing of our wines.
Cap’s was listed as inexpensive; meaning our mark up is well below the industry average. We simply apply a straight mark up of $20 over cost, which explains our corkage fee of $20.
As you can tell, drinking an “expensive” wine at Cap’s will not break your bank. Our wine list is presented by grape variety.
Most categories feature a “Best Value” selection, pointing out an exceptional pairing of price and quality. Due to our high sales volume, we sometimes run out of certain vintages or selections. Please check the label on the bottle upon presentation.
Most categories have wines listed with ratings behind them. These are our reserve wines. The “WS” represents the Wine Spectator magazine rating and the “RP” stands for Robert Parker’s rating. Although the rating system is no guarantee for good taste, it is best used as a guideline for quality.
Remember, the only thing that matters is your taste. All our reserve wines are kept at a constant temperature of 59 degrees. Note that none of the reserve wines may be returned, unless corked. Please understand that availability of these wines is limited.
We are proud to offer a varied selection of wines. The great French whites are well represented as well as some of the hard-to-find American wines. The list is well balanced with great champagnes, Australians Shiraz, French Bordeaux, Spanish Reds and another favorite of ours, big Italian Reds.
Enjoy your wine experience at Cap’s and because of our pricing, we encourage you to be daring and try something new!
