Owned by UNF graduates all under 30 years old, they knew Jacksonville was missing something, and I think they have found it!
From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave the Ivy you will feel like the most important person there. The service is what distinguishes The Ivy from all other bars in Jacksonville. Whether you walk up to the door, or drive up and use their Valet parking (yes, they have Valet!) everyone receives the same premium customer service. Best of all, this “catering to your needs” attitude lasts all night long from the time you enter, to moment you leave.
The ambiance of this ultra bar is sexy-sheik, just like its guest. It is a perfect mix of bar and nightclub. “The Ivy Ultra Bar will be a fancy feeling bar with plenty of seating to remind you of home. Our walls are all original brick which is over 100 years old.” says owner Lee Spell when asked to describe the theme of his establishment. Upon walking into The Ivy on a weekday you will find a typical young professional crowd grabbing an after work cocktail and unwinding from a hard day of work. The Ivy is a 21 and up crowd and has a $5 cover charge at the door on Friday and Saturday. But remember that premium customer service? Don’t worry about not having cash because from the cost of Valet, to the $5 cover charge, to your entire bar tab, The Ivy will cash you out at the end of the night with only one bill to sign! Now that’s service Jacksonville has not seen!
The Ivy will cater to all of your needs. Whether you are planning a party and need VIP reservations or just need a good old domestic draft beer, the staff is there for you. VIP reservations and bottle service range from $150 and up and should be reserved in advance. Even though they do not serve food at the time, The Ivy does hold a food service license and will allow catering. The full bar offers a vast drink menu and your average drink prices range from $2.50 drafts to $7.25 premiums. Come by Monday through Friday and enjoy happy hour specials from 4 to 8 p.m.
